We’d like to give you more information on the most commonly used Erasmus+ terms. In the following article, we will explain Erasmus+ words to simplify your understanding of the program and information in our e-book.
Erasmus+ Mobility
This relates to an international internship or training that is funded by Erasmus+ called Erasmus+ mobility. The Erasmus+ mobility can either be an educational training or course, in a country other than your home country that fulfills the goals of your Erasmus+ project.
Erasmus+ Flow
An institution can send one or more persons on an Erasmus+ mobility. The Erasmus+ flow describes the group of people that are at one Erasmus+ destination at the same time.
For example: if you send 15 students and 2 teachers for 2 weeks to London the group is considered an Erasmus+ flow. The students are completing their Erasmus+ internship whereas the teachers are supporting and accompanying them during their Erasmus+ project.
Erasmus+ Application
When you apply for Erasmus+ funding you need to prepare an Erasmus+ application, which includes all necessary information and the aim and objectives of your Erasmus+ project. If you need help with your Erasmus+ application check our Guide for Erasmus+ Funding Applicants.
Erasmus+ Letter of Intent
A letter of intent is an agreement that confirms that the specific company “X” will provide an Erasmus+ work placement for a certain number of students. The agreement contains the name of the company, the address as well as the enterprises’ legal representative and his/her signature.
Erasmus+ Learning Agreement
Like the letter of intent, the Erasmus+ learning agreement is a contract which comprises of more details about the participant, the training program abroad as well as the parties involved. It includes, among other information, the name of the Erasmus+ intern, the field of his/her education, the school name and contact details. Information about the training program is, for example, the name of the company, contact details, the period of time of the internship and knowledge which will be acquired throughout the Erasmus+ internship. It is an obligation to submit the Erasmus+ learning agreement to the national agency involved as it contains the signature of all three parties involved.
Erasmus+ Memorandum of Understanding
The Erasmus+ memorandum of understanding is an agreement that includes details about the partners and their signature to ensure, for example, the acceptance of the mentioned criteria and procedures for quality assurance.
Erasmus+ Europass Mobility
The objective of this standard document is to register the intern’s individual participation in an organised mobility experience in another European country. It includes all details of the skills and competencies acquired by the student. Additionally, the Europass should, among other things, boost transparency and visibility of European mobility experiences.
