If you’ve already seen our blog on study tools then hopefully you’re tuning into the second part to find out about more brilliant ideas to boost your learning and get an incredible Erasmus+ or Turing Scheme qualification. For those of you who haven’t yet seen part one, you can access it on our blog (along with other brilliant articles) by clicking here. Let’s get started with part two!
1. A Decent Notebook
Yes, this may well be obvious, but some people rely on tech to take notes. Using a notebook and writing down notes helps to cement them in memory plus you can draw mind-maps and highlight areas of importance. You can also add sticky notes to bulk up your information. Carrying a notebook around with you (along with a pencil and pen) means that you can add to your notes whenever you want. As soon as an idea pops into your head, just whip out your trusty notebook and jot it down.
2. A Flask of Coffee or Tea
Rather than interrupting your studies to make another cup of coffee or tea, buy a flask that keeps your drinks hot for hours on end. That way, you’ll have your tea or coffee ready for you whenever you want. By the same token, most flasks keep drinks cold as well. So fill up on something refreshing from the fridge and keep it by your side, perfectly chilled all-day-long.
3. Cable Clips
If you’ve got a lot of tech going on, involving dozens of wires then purchase some cable clips to keep everything neatly together. Otherwise, if you tangle your wires (which happens when you have a lot going on under your desk), it’s time-consuming, not to mention irritating, trying to detangle them.
4. Highlighter Pens
Always useful (and to keep with your notebook). Highlighter pens make text jump out. Use them for text books and your notes and formulate a key so you know what each colour relates to.
5. An Abundance of Pens and Pencils
There’s nothing more annoying than running out of ink or finding you don’t have a sharp pencil when you need one. Keep plenty at hand and get yourself into a routine of sharpening pencils twice a week so they’re always ready to use. Make sure you have the right colour pens with you too – some university professors and school teachers ask for work handed in using blue ink, some prefer black ink.
6. A Flash Drive
For two reasons – a flash drive is useful to keep everything saved just in case you lose your computer, lose work or run out of storage. Just remember to add to it when you need to!
7. A Memory Foam Cushion
Trust us! A comfortable chair will help you study better, so buy or take a memory foam cushion to fit a standard chair. It will shape itself to you and make sitting for long periods of time so much more pleasurable!
