The True Purpose of Erasmus+  and How It Is Funding Peace

Young woman has a good idea-2

Erasmus+, and it’s British counterpart The Turing Scheme are both vital for young people embarking on further education and work for so many reasons. Not only does it facilitate growing knowledge, independence, skills and understanding but it is also an exceptional advocate for encouraging peace between European countries.

Brokering Peace and Stronger Relationships Across Europe

In fact, these exchange programmes exist to particularly foster stronger relationships across the nations of Europe.

Europe consists of fifty countries, and while many are in the EU, Erasmus+ also covers countries outside of the EU. Less than 100 years ago, many of those countries were at war with each other. Today, thankfully we all co-exist happily. Erasmus+ and the Turing Scheme also act as a peace mission to make sure this continues. Young people get to experience another country, learning about how that country works, meeting the people who live there and gaining vital insight into different cultures.

Common Goals

Erasmus+ is the largest exchange programme in the world, the Turing Scheme is much smaller as it is only for British students but together, both have the same goals – one of those being to keep peaceful relations between European countries.

A Different Experience to a Vacation!

Every year, the Erasmus+ scheme receives billions of Euros annually from the EU (and nations outside of Europe) to make sure that many young people up to the age of 30 (some age 30+) are able to embark on one of these extraordinary adventures. Doubtless, experiencing another country properly by living and working there is vastly different to just visiting on vacation and staying in a resort. We believe the best way to get the most out of a different country is to go there, interact with the people who live there and work/study there on a day-to-day basis.

Why TravelEdventures is the Most Trusted Partner For Your Needs

At TravelEdventures, the funding we access from schools, colleges, universities, other educational institutions and the NGOs we work with enables young people to try an Erasmus+ or Turing Scheme project – and get the most from these experiences. The minimum amount of time spent abroad is 2 weeks, stretching up to 12 weeks and even 6 months for some projects. All accommodation is organised prior to arrival, there’s a job waiting for each young person on the scheme, and we even place our own staff on-the-ground to take care of every participant for the duration of the project. This is what makes us different from others – and why we have run so many successful projects. It is also why we are trusted by all of our partners.
