How We Built a Strong TravelEdventures’ Team

Waggish happy fingers with team building concept

As you might expect, we are picky about who we work with but most especially our staff members! We’re growing really quickly which means we really need to pay careful attention to who we hire and ensure that they match our ethos and philosophy. So, when we take on new staff members, we start them out with small projects. If those small projects go well, we gradually guide them through to bigger projects. The ultimate goal is for them to become independent group leaders, able to take their own Erasmus+ and Turing Scheme groups to various European (and beyond) destinations. At this point, they should understand all about TravelEdventures, who we are, what we do and how we do it. That’s so important, and we never send anyone inexperienced out with our groups.

Giving Our Clients Complete Confidence

Our clients need to feel complete confidence that every single staff member knows exactly what they’re doing – so if there’s a problem that they know how to deal with it immediately, before that problem becomes a real issue! They also need to feel valued as clients and all of our staff understand the importance of building client relationships, so they are for the long term. Our aim is always a long-term relationship, we want our clients to stay with us for years – and they do.

We’re Always Flexible

We also need our staff to be very flexible. That means they’re not concerned about working on a Sunday night at 8.00pm – because our groups are at their destination 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, someone needs to be available to them at all times. If something goes wrong, they must be there to help.

With Good People Skills

Our staff are never shy of interacting with people, they need to be good with people, and that means of all ages too because some of our students are very young and inexperienced, but our teachers are obviously older and more experienced. Plus there’s a different way of communicating with clients and companies, so our staff must have good interpersonal skills.

We’ve Got What it Takes!

With over 20 years of Erasmus+ and Turing scheme experience, we know what it takes to stay at the top, and that’s why we’re the preferred choice for schools, colleges, universities and NGOs who all want to work with us. We’re also super-proud of the relationships we’ve built with companies across Europe, who rely on us to organise students to fill their internships – and often our students go on to gain employment with their work placement companies.
