In this blog you will find some basic information on Erasmus+ accreditation 2021 - 2027. We highlight the most important information you need to consider in order to submit a high-quality application. To receive our Erasmus+ Step-by-Step Guide 2021, please contact one of our Erasmus+ experts.
Any educational institution (school, association, etc.) can be accredited for the long term, which means that if accreditation is granted, mobility is guaranteed until 2027. The good thing about accreditation is that it is flexible and grows along with the projects of the institution in question. Accredited institutions will benefit from simplified participation in the Erasmus+ programme. This means that with increasing experience, your institution can move on to more complex Erasmus+ mobilities and therefore increase the number of participants from year to year. For more details, please refer to the Erasmus+ Programme Guide 2021.
The application must be submitted to your respective National Agency which is where the applicant institution has its registered office. An institution may apply for accreditation in each of the following three areas. Please note that separate applications must be submitted for each area.

The deadline for applications is (expected) to be at the end of October every year. Following your commitment to accreditation, it is likely that a budget application could be submitted in February/March of the following year. For example, the deadline for applying for Erasmus+ accreditation in 2020 was 29th October 2020 at 12:00 CET.
Whether you are an experienced or inexperienced Erasmus+ coordinator, there are 2 essential points to consider when applying for Erasmus+.
The information in your Erasmus+ accreditation form must tell a coherent story. Remember to balance them and integrate separate responses to show your needs and plans for internationalisation. For example: let’s refer to a question under the title - What are the most important needs and challenges that your company is currently facing? The answer to this question is important for your objectives of the Erasmus+ plan. Additionally, your internationalisation strategy must highlight the same challenges and needs as your Erasmus+ plan.
Given the current Covid-19 pandemic, much more emphasis is being placed on existing and new digital collaboration. After consultation with your National Agency, "remote" internships may also be promoted. Emphasise your experience with digital collaboration and create plans for digital and personal collaboration with your partners.
