We Started Small….and Continued to Grow!
When we first began, we really only focussed on language placements for secondary schools. At the time, the European school curriculum involved students spending a week in another country, to help learn the language. For example, a French school might travel to London to study in an English school for a week and vice versa.
Now we work with schools, colleges, universities and other educational institutions arranging trips for students from teenage years right up to 30 years old – even older adults can enjoy our work and study placements abroad! The language trips were a great success, so we gravitated towards Erasmus+ placements, and more recently, we also work on Turing Scheme placements (the UK’s version of Erasmus+ for British students).
Funding Often Equates to Approximately ¾ of the Programme’s Total Cost
As you may know, Erasmus+ and the Turing Scheme both offer terrific amounts of funding for students and learners who want to travel to Europe (and further if you’re a British student on the Turing Scheme). The funding available allows for extended trips, from 2 weeks to 6 months, some even offer a year’s work or study placement.
Once you access your funding, your Erasmus+ or Turing Scheme programme will be adjusted according to the amount you have available. As a rough idea of how much funding is available, schools usually receive funding of approximately ¾ of the total programme cost – which is impressive!
