How to Submit an Erasmus+ Application

Erasmus+ is the EU Programme that facilitates work, study and training mobilities for the fields of education, training, youth and sport, covering the period 2021-2027. Education, training, youth and sport are key areas that support citizens in their personal and professional development. High quality, inclusive education and training (as well as informal and non-formal learning), ultimately equip young people and participants of all ages with the qualifications and skills needed for meaningful participation in democratic society, intercultural understanding and successful transition into the labour market.

The Four Steps to Follow When Applying for Erasmus+

To submit an Erasmus+ project, applicants must follow the four steps described below. Each applicant must be registered as follows:

• For actions managed by the Executive Agency, applicants, affiliated entities and associated partners must register in the Funding & Tender Opportunities Portal (FTOP) and receive a Participant Identification Code (PIC). Organisations/groups that have already obtained a PIC through their participation in other EU programmes do not need to register again. The PIC obtained from this previous registration will also be valid for applying for Erasmus+.
• For actions managed by National Agencies, applicants must if they have not already done so, register through the Organisation Registration system for Erasmus+ and the European Solidarity Corps and receive an Organisation ID.

Applicants should also:

• Check the compliance with the programme criteria for the relevant Action/field.
• Check the financial conditions.
• Fill in and submit the application form.

Once the registration is completed, the applicant will obtain a PIC or an Organisation ID. The PIC (which is a 9-digit unique identifier and necessary for the submission of applications), enables the applicant to complete the application form in a simple manner. As part of the registration process, applicants must also upload the following documents:

• The Legal Entity form.
• The Financial Identification form.

In cases of consortium, the Financial Identification form should only be provided for the co-ordinator.
