Documents to Apply for Erasmus+ -  a Step-by-Step Guide

Here are some brief but essential tips that will make your Erasmus+ experience really memorable. Today, we will discuss the Erasmus+ procedure, how to apply for your Erasmus+ mobility and all the documents you need to study abroad. It will be an experience you will never forget, full of adventures and you will make new friends that will soon feel like family!

Step 1: Before Going Abroad On Erasmus+

1. Check interesting opportunities from receiving institutions that have an agreement with your home university or school:

• Courses/subjects.

• Language.

• Country and city of the university.

• Cost of living.

3. Apply for participation in the Erasmus+ programme. Make sure you don’t miss any deadlines because for some universities, you need to apply long before. The coordinator for international mobility and Erasmus+ at your university will give you more information about available opportunities, deadlines and how to apply, as it may vary depending on the university and country. You can choose up to 5 places on your application form. Remember, the first places that you list should be the most important ones!

4. You will also be asked to take an online language test, so you can prove your English level is B2 or above.

5. Once you get accepted, you have a lot of paperwork to do before the deadline. The most important documents for Erasmus+ are:

• Learning Agreement, which contains your study programme at home and receiving university.

• Two (2) documents with the dates and details of your stay: one for your university and another for your insurance card.

• Documents related to your bank account, to which the scholarship will be transferred. 

Step 2: During Your Erasmus+ Mobility

1. Once you finally arrive at your receiving institution, you will need to get a signature on your Erasmus+ Learning Agreement from the international office, this means they accept your chosen courses.

2. During the last days of your Erasmus+ stay, you should bring a document (signed and stamped by your international office) containing all the details of your semester or year abroad.

Step 3: Following Your Erasmus+ Mobility

1. You need to send all the needed Erasmus+ documents to the international office of your home university.

2. You will also need to take an online language test one more time to check the progress following your stay.

3. After you fill in and send the required documents, you should receive the rest of your scholarship.
